Safety regulations

In order to ensure your electrical safety:

Do not touch wires that are hanging or lying on the ground. Remember that it is deadly dangerous not only to touch but also to come closer than 8 meters to a wire lying on the ground;
do not climb on the roofs of buildings where power lines pass nearby;
don't park under them and don't light fires;
do not make loops of wire and other objects on the wires of overhead lines (PL); do not allow children to play directly under overhead lines and near substations;
do not launch "air kites" under submarines;
do not touch the metal braces of PL supports and television antennas, which may be under voltage as a result of damage to the PL wires;
beware of accidentally approaching power lines during work under the underground: construction of structures and buildings, loading and unloading operations, storage of materials and others;
remember that inept installation of a radio, television antenna, carrying out various works near overhead lines with proximity to metal parts of the submarine causes electric injuries;
unauthorized work in electrical installations that do not belong to you, independent connection to electrical networks usually causes electrical injuries;
Do not allow unqualified persons to install new or repair existing electrical installations. Carelessly performed repair work can lead to injuries to people who use these electrical installations;
do not use self-made "bugs" to protect wiring from short circuits, use certified fuses;
faulty electrical appliances, insulation of wiring and switches are a constant source of injuries and accidents;
portable power tools are a source of increased danger. Before using the power tool, study the requirements of the Safety Rules and the operating instructions from the manufacturer;
household electrical appliances, portable lamps are intended for use only in rooms with floors that do not conduct electric current;
Do not repair electrical appliances without disconnecting them from the power grid, do not carry out work in electrical installations yourself. Repair work must be carried out by specialists;
to clean lighting equipment, lamps, portable lamps from dust and dirt, it is necessary to turn them off from the network;
use plugs to connect devices to the electrical network. It is not allowed to connect the bare ends of the wires;
when washing with a washing machine, do not touch it with wet hands;
never touch the disconnected and not disassembled wires that supply the houses. Do not use even insulated inputs in houses for other purposes, as a rope for hanging, drying clothes, etc.

Remember! Accidents often occur during the manufacture and use of home-made extension cords and electrical appliances.

When using electricity at home:

take measures to prevent children from accessing electrical appliances.

It is better to equip open sockets with special plugs.

In order to avoid cases of electrocution, you need to know the following electrical safety rules and follow them:

Do not fill kettles and coffee makers that are connected to the mains with water from the water tap, because a person can be electrocuted if they touch the device and the water tap at the same time;
Use portable lamps and electrical appliances with a voltage not higher than 36 V in wet rooms;
Do not pinch electrical wires with doors, window frames, do not fasten them with nails, do not paint or whitewash them, in order to avoid damage and premature drying of electrical wire insulation. This leads to fires, and in contact with people to accidents;
Do not touch wires that are sagging or on the ground (approaching them at a distance closer than 8 meters is also fatal);
Do not replace electric lamps without turning them off, do not wipe with a damp cloth electrical wires, sockets, switches, other electrical appliances connected to the electrical network;
Do not take electrical appliances that are turned on to the yard, because if the insulation is damaged, a person standing on the ground and touching any metal part of such an appliance may receive an electric shock;
Do not climb on the roofs of buildings, do not climb trees near which overhead lines pass, do not try to penetrate transformer substations for any purpose, do not attempt to repair broken wires yourself;
Do not allow children to play under overhead lines and near electrical equipment, explain to them the dangers of such behavior;
Don't let children play with plugs;
Do not hang things on wires, switches and sockets;
It is necessary to know that household electrical appliances (kettles, irons, electric stoves, etc.), as well as portable lamps (floor lamps, table lamps) with a voltage of 220 V, are intended for use in rooms with non-conductive electricity;

If a person is under voltage, do not touch their hands, but quickly turn off the electrical installation (with a switch, circuit breaker, or cut the wire with an ax, a shovel with a dry wooden handle), pull the victim by the dry clothes that are lagging behind the body. After that, it is necessary to start providing first aid (artificial respiration, stop the blood, apply a bandage) and let the doctor go! In this expanded opinion, it is forbidden to bury the victim in the ground, since these actions will not bring any benefit, it can only lead to the death of the victim.

Using plugged-in electrical appliances with damaged insulation outdoors can cause electric shock because EARTH IS A CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRIC CURRENT!
